Dark Eyes 4 confuses me slightly. It’s a fun journey through to the end but here’s the thing;

The first episode is the only exists to forcefully continue the plot of the previous series that felt somewhat conclusive.

Not fully conclusive but enough to allow the Doctor and Liv to wander off into their own adventures separate of this storyline but instead we have sort of an encore series. I’m not complaining about it too much because it is some good stuff but it started to feel a little repetitious towards the end.

Dark Eyes 1 & 2 were linked clearly but this feels more like train that never slows down. Fun to start off with but a bit draining after awhile.

I guess the best thing I could say about this is it is the end for this story.

Makes me a bit nervous about the next two stories and whether or not four series per story is a bit much. Still, they can prove me wrong.

The Doctor and Liv are a great pairing if a little less interesting than Molly to start off with but it’s not long before the two click and things get going. This is more of the same so it’s really up to you on the recommendation. If you’ve liked Dark Eyes so far then yeah this is a great continuation of that arc if a little forced however if you’re a little bored at this point I think it’s safe to say you can move on.

7/10
